Rest, Relax and Enjoy

Streetlife.

Monday 30th June 2014.

https://www.streetlife.com/  .

This post is probably of very little interest to most of you, but I thought I should post something and here it is. and an excuse to say it is my..

Just found this social media site for the local area of which one lives. Just enter your post code and a valid email and it will link you up to your area. On doing this there are many other options to be found. I have not delved too deep as yet but it does look good. A bit like an online neighbourhood watch, selling stuff, advertising an event.

Dont know about other countries but this is ideal for UK. Maybe other countries have something similar, what ever you may think I hope you enjoy it in some way and seek it out.

  4. That is actually most interesting. In the modern era, I wonder if it couldn’t be an effective way to restore the sort of thing that used to start with a visit by neighbours as soon as one moved into a new area, and continued with regular communication, face-to-face, between the local residents.

  6. I use a site called Meetup. I think it is strictly social and it exists in 196 countries. It is a great way to find local organizations or people with similar interests. There seems to be something for everyone.

  7. Looks neat, but I’ve sworn off all social media sites except WP, I simply don’t have the time to give them my full attention. Then I feel guilty and time-pressured, and stressed. You know the drill! ;)
