Contrast Challenge
This photo was taken by my brother ,needless to say many years ago.
And as you can see there is such a varying contrast to them.
Whilst I was only experimenting, I must admit I do like them. Only hope ye who pops in to view likes them also.
All pictures are property of Gerry Ainger/Cobb. Any use of can only be done so by permission of the said person.
Yes, I like them all. I have to try this with one of my photos. Great choice for weekly challenge.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thanks ever so much for comment and visit.
Groovy Man! 🙂 Ain’t nothing wrong with being a hippie. They used to call me ‘flower child’ at work. LOL. Good takes, Gerry. Nice conversions in your photo-shopping.
Thank you ever so much for your support and kind words. I might dig some scenery ones out later????
Castles? Cool beans! 🙂
will try,,,,
Cheers , cheers and thank you..;)
I love these! What a cool rock star you were (are?). My favourite is the second one, the purple one, with its purple glow emanating from your chest (heart?).
Were is right, play for pleasure today, if one can call it pleasure. lol 😉 Pick any, orders taken,,,lol
Sweetest Thing. U2. If not, then: I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.
Lovely pictures Gerry! Beautifully depicting contrast!
So glad you like them ,teecee, appreciate your comment and visit…;)
These are wild, Gerry! Very creative. You should do something with them all together — as a set: create a set of note cards or use them as a set-up for a story — something!
Thanks very much, I did leave a note on yours, not sure what you mean by note cards. but am open to suggestions, Greatly appreciate your views..;)
Very cool.
Thank you for visit and comment. love to hear it..
clever take on the challenge – and some great editing to provide these contrasting views.
thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoy and thanks for support..
Wow, I love these. Very cool. You have inspired me to tweek my photos and play with them more. I’m more of an adjust and shoot or autoshoot sort of person. I need to play more. Need to make time to do that. Great entry for the week’s theme, brother. 😉
Just one little advice, always be sure to keep the original picture in it’s original state. I made the mistake in past projects and lost them. But very glad you appreciate the post, so sis’ thanks again…
Cheers cheers thanks…
Really cool photographs, excellent entry to the challenge.
Thanks a lot appreciate all your support..;)
I like the blue background one.
Thank you Connie, you can choose any you wish, I take orders…lol 😉

No it is thank you for popping in.
I believe,
there’s a big contrast between
you as a Hippie playing guitar in seventies
and you playing guitar 2012!
I have less hair and slightly heavier, not much..but still pluck away. 😉

Great Gradient colors in your photos Gerry, Nice work 🙂
Thanks Jake, just a few on my hard drive that I love messing about with. The effects can be good or bad, but that is the advantage of digital. The delete or back button are in regular use Thank you
This is a great way to play with photo’s. I’ve done it on
occasion and the effects are interesting. Looks like you
were a guitar playing hippie. Woo – Hoo – Woodstock is a
pictoral memory. Very Nice Co …

Yours Woodstock mine Isle of Wight, but magical events. I was lucky enough to meet a few from this era and styles of music. Thank you Isadora for your lovely support…
Gosh … I never knew there was another type of event like Woodstock. I didn’t get to go – too young – but it was all over the news. Always learning new things. Love it …!!! Thanks
I like the inverse coloring–black on white. Somehow it’s more dramatic. Groovy, maybe. Were’t the 70’s fun??
For me it was, I was travelling around with some great friends and playing guitar in several bands and generally loving the experiences. Thank you so much for your comment..
Great take on the weekly challenge Gerry 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words and appreciate your visit and comment..;)
This is nice! Can’t wait to see the pics clearly from my laptop later.
I’m only 22 now. My only experience of the 60s and 70s is through tv shows like ‘I dream of Jeannie’ 🙂 I like life back then. So much more innocent and simple. But there was no internet, I’d miss that a lot 😛
Thanks for visit and comment. I would not want to offend but I dream of Genie is not a good representation of that era. Al be it a decent program, we in the UK did not get it until rather later. As for internet if you dont know of it you wont miss it. I miss as of todays way of life. I love it, Would not be ta;king to you and many others world wide it is ‘Fab’ Thank you for comments and visit.
It’s so neat when someone has fun editing their photo(s)! All of your results are great, but the Silver Contrast one is totally awesome!
Why, thank you indeed for your visit and comment and certainly agree. It only when others see it bring ones thoughts into reality. 😉
Cool. I love what you did with the photo. 😉
Just experimenting, got more on computer. but thank you very much. 😉

Yes there are some great memories, another story another day, after the watershed…as they say. thank you..;)
The biggest Contrast I see is in you: “Then till Now”…as I see in my self…
Great Photos..

Thank you for visit and comment. Still trying to play 😉
Love them all. First, the image is truly beautiful. Gives a sense of being relax, chilling-out, being ourselves and enjoying life the way it’s meant to be. Wonderful effects, each of one as wonderful and unique in their own way. Have great day.
Thank you island traveler so much for your very kind and descriptive words and makes me happy to know that you enjoyed them. I enjoyed doing them. Have many others as well. Again thanks very much. see you back soon..
i think it’s simply amazing not just that you have such a wonderful photo from the 70s (a decade i just LOVE) but also that you were able to breathe new life into it with this challenge! 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words. My brother took a few and this one I especially liked. When one thinks it was taken with old fashion film and I had to scan and update. Thanks again..;)
These are great! I especially love the fifth one…the purple one…very hippie-ish 😉
Thanks ever so much. well orders are being taken ; lol 😉
Those all look really cool. You must have had fun playing with them. Suits the era too.
