Silver Contrast.
Just a Shadow.

This photo was taken by my brother ,needless to say many years ago.

And as you can see there is such a varying contrast to them.

Whilst I was only experimenting, I must admit I do like them. Only hope ye who pops in to view likes them also.

All pictures are property of Gerry Ainger/Cobb. Any use of can only be done so by permission of the said person.

  1. Groovy Man! 🙂 Ain’t nothing wrong with being a hippie. They used to call me ‘flower child’ at work. LOL. Good takes, Gerry. Nice conversions in your photo-shopping.

  2. I love these! What a cool rock star you were (are?). My favourite is the second one, the purple one, with its purple glow emanating from your chest (heart?).

      1. Sweetest Thing. U2. If not, then: I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.

  3. These are wild, Gerry! Very creative. You should do something with them all together — as a set: create a set of note cards or use them as a set-up for a story — something!

    1. Thanks very much, I did leave a note on yours, not sure what you mean by note cards. but am open to suggestions, Greatly appreciate your views..;)

  4. Wow, I love these. Very cool. You have inspired me to tweek my photos and play with them more. I’m more of an adjust and shoot or autoshoot sort of person. I need to play more. Need to make time to do that. Great entry for the week’s theme, brother. 😉

    1. Just one little advice, always be sure to keep the original picture in it’s original state. I made the mistake in past projects and lost them. But very glad you appreciate the post, so sis’ thanks again…

    1. Thanks Jake, just a few on my hard drive that I love messing about with. The effects can be good or bad, but that is the advantage of digital. The delete or back button are in regular use Thank you

    1. Yours Woodstock mine Isle of Wight, but magical events. I was lucky enough to meet a few from this era and styles of music. Thank you Isadora for your lovely support…

      1. Gosh … I never knew there was another type of event like Woodstock. I didn’t get to go – too young – but it was all over the news. Always learning new things. Love it …!!! Thanks

    1. For me it was, I was travelling around with some great friends and playing guitar in several bands and generally loving the experiences. Thank you so much for your comment..

  5. This is nice! Can’t wait to see the pics clearly from my laptop later.

I’m only 22 now. My only experience of the 60s and 70s is through tv shows like ‘I dream of Jeannie’ 🙂 I like life back then. So much more innocent and simple. But there was no internet, I’d miss that a lot 😛

    1. Thanks for visit and comment. I would not want to offend but I dream of Genie is not a good representation of that era. Al be it a decent program, we in the UK did not get it until rather later. As for internet if you dont know of it you wont miss it. I miss as of todays way of life. I love it, Would not be ta;king to you and many others world wide it is ‘Fab’ Thank you for comments and visit.

  6. It’s so neat when someone has fun editing their photo(s)! All of your results are great, but the Silver Contrast one is totally awesome!

  7. Gerry, Far out! 🙂 Reminds me of an old friend. 60’s and 70’s – what memories. Good times. Great contrast. Be seeing you…

  8. Love them all. First, the image is truly beautiful. Gives a sense of being relax, chilling-out, being ourselves and enjoying life the way it’s meant to be. Wonderful effects, each of one as wonderful and unique in their own way. Have great day.

    1. Thank you island traveler so much for your very kind and descriptive words and makes me happy to know that you enjoyed them. I enjoyed doing them. Have many others as well. Again thanks very much. see you back soon..

  9. i think it’s simply amazing not just that you have such a wonderful photo from the 70s (a decade i just LOVE) but also that you were able to breathe new life into it with this challenge! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words. My brother took a few and this one I especially liked. When one thinks it was taken with old fashion film and I had to scan and update. Thanks again..;)

    1. Very reminiscent of the era, or at least my era. I can still remember the day my brother a keen photographer started clicking and getting me to pose, if one can call it that.. thank you so much..

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comments, which wont get lost by the way. I try to answer everyone. I appreciate all visits and comments. makes our posting worth while and exciting. Thank you so much again.
