Happy Birthday Mum.....
Today is my mothers Birthday and if she was alive today she would be a ripe old age of 91 years of age. This is one day that saddens every year. But as each year passes I know we are getting closer to meeting again after such a long time of being apart. I know there must many others of you out there with similar feelings of loss so this post is also in memory for all of you as well.
The colored picture above is probably the last ever picture taken of her, it was approx’ a year to a year and half when she passed onto a better place. the small picturesque village of Golden Hill, Shaftesbury, which is in Dorset. As seen in the bottom photograph. This is one of many beautiful Villages in Dorset and Hampshire. Her husband, my dad had died a year or two earlier and the time lapse was only two and half years before she was taken. Today she would have lived longer, because of the modern medicine.
So Here it is to you MUM,
See you Soon…
I feel for you– I miss my parents too–my dad would have been 93 and my mom 87 –thank you for your tribute in memory of all our parents–
This was a rather hard post for me,, thank you very and always welcome 🙂
Lovely post. Your mum was very pretty.
thank you Carol, I thought so as well.. but I am biased. heehee!. 😉
Oh it’s so true that this time of year brings back the sense of loss. I lost my mom 7 years ago. My dad is still with us… he turned 91 in October. Beautiful pictures and memories.
thank you very much for your comments and thoughts as well.. welcome.. 😉
Oh, Gerry. What a beautiful tribute. My heart goes out to you. Cherish the memories.
thank you very much Gemma, it means so much to me.. 😉
MY Kind Sir and Dearest friend,
My heart is full for you today. Your faith today in knowing that you & your Beloved mum will be meeting again will sustain you, along with the trust you sense her watching over you is valid. and real. It is these kinds of emotions which help fill the hole in our hearts and souls until that time we meet again.
You my friend who looks so much like your mum (her 16 yr old photo and younger you on your posts) should know that she is without doubt very proud of you and smiling over you always.
Her photos are treasures to hold dearly 9know you do) & proudly share, and i love that you have documented both her & her birthday forever now in thoughts, in cuber space.
Beautifully tender post Gerry ~
thank you my lady, I am the one that takes after my mum, both apparently in looks and the music side… always and forever welcome my lady.. 😉
I still have my Dad but lost my mother a few years ago. Beautiful post.
so appreciate your words and thank you so much… welcome. 😉
Nice tribute to your mother.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
thank you Francine, always welcome 🙂
It would have been my father’s birthday tomorrow, (14.12) and my mother’s the following day (15.12). Just to add another family member, my uncle’s was on 16.12. December was a busy month, or maybe march/april was? 😀
Ironically the last time I saw my mum before she died was on my dad’s birthday, eight years ago now I guess. I don’t remember the days either died, only the months, but the birthdates stay with us forever don’t they?
My brothers is on the 10th, so it seemed a good baby boom time. Thank you roughseas. I was never with my mum infact it was the weekend earlier I saw when she passed on the Wednesday… thank you for your words and welcome 😉
