  2. Flying a kite can be SO satisfying. Or frustrating, if you haven’t set it up right!

    • It took us ages to get it launched, just wanted dive to ground every time.. welcome 😉

  3. Oh, wow, we’ve not flown kites in years. Hallie and I used to go to the Reservoir to fly our kites. I wish we could buy some kites and go flying. Oh well. Maybe next summer if she’s not “too old” for such things. LOL! Teens are probably too old. *sniff* *tear*

  5. Well, that was funny. I’m staying in a gardenless caravan park called The Gardens Caravan Park, looking out at nothing but demountable cabins. And now I’ve just read your post, set in a caravan park that looks just like the one I’m in. I had a weird moment. But your 3 photos tell a nice summery story.

  7. I love kite flying. I haven’t done it since my kids grew up. The beach has the perfect amount of wind for it.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😃

  9. I just saw the movie “Saving Mr. Banks” about the making of “Mary Poppins.” When they introduced the song “Let’s Go Fly A Kite,” I remembered it from the original movie and can’t stop singing it! This post just brings it all back! “Let’s go fly kite, up to the highest height. Let’s go fly a kite and send it soaring…up to the atmosphere, up where the air is clear. Oh, let’s go fly a kite!” 🙂

    Comment by Lorna's Voice | July 30, 2014 | Reply

    • The film is often being played on Sundays, I hear you can sing as well.. thank you Lorna.. always welcome.. 😉
