  1. Oh, wow, we’ve not flown kites in years. Hallie and I used to go to the Reservoir to fly our kites. I wish we could buy some kites and go flying. Oh well. Maybe next summer if she’s not “too old” for such things. LOL! Teens are probably too old. *sniff* *tear*

    1. If she is like my Ellie she will still love to do it and enjoy it… a nice sunny day with mum and a picnic,,, nothing nicer… welcome always 😉

      1. Yeah, there is a part of her that longs to be little again, so maybe she will enjoy it. Will just have to wait till her knee heals then I’m sure we’ll have tons o’ fun. 😉 Thanks, brother!

  2. Well, that was funny. I’m staying in a gardenless caravan park called The Gardens Caravan Park, looking out at nothing but demountable cabins. And now I’ve just read your post, set in a caravan park that looks just like the one I’m in. I had a weird moment. But your 3 photos tell a nice summery story.

    1. It was a fabulous sunny day,, and it took ages to get that kite flying…. This park actually is one that we still visit,, something about it… welcome always.. 😉

  3. I just saw the movie “Saving Mr. Banks” about the making of “Mary Poppins.” When they introduced the song “Let’s Go Fly A Kite,” I remembered it from the original movie and can’t stop singing it! This post just brings it all back! “Let’s go fly kite, up to the highest height. Let’s go fly a kite and send it soaring…up to the atmosphere, up where the air is clear. Oh, let’s go fly a kite!” 🙂

    1. This particular day was rather frustrating, it took ages to get it in the air… We use to go regularly to one but have been for a good few years now… welcome.. 😉
